National quiet on standards

Should we read anything in to it that the education video on the National Party's homepage doesn't mention National Standards, and that the link to its National Standards policy on the same site is broken - http://www.national.org.nz/achievements.aspx#publicservices?

I was polled at home recently by David Farrar's polling company - asking about education, and other policies. Perhaps the polling is showing that National Standards aren't a vote-winner?

Such a tragedy that this generation of children has become a political football. Do we have to wait for the decline in student achievement levels to kick in before this dreadful policy is kicked to touch. By which time hundreds of thousands of Kiwi kids will have had their education compromised.
